Air Wash systems for wood burners
All our multi fuel burners are equipped with the new Air Wash system, this is where air is drawn into the wood burner by the heat of the fire, through the top vent and down over the glass.
This air stream, or curtain of air, prevents the smoke from contacting directly with the glass, thereby greatly reducing sooty deposits and the amount of cleaning required.
The Air wash system works best when burning dry seasoned timber, wet or pitchy woods can produce a lot more smoke and therefore potentially more deposits on the glass. Deposits can also form faster if the fire is set to a low burn for long periods of time.
Our stoves all use 'Schott' high temperature safety glass.
